Fandis is active in research projects at international level.
The company also offers technological consultancy to public authorities and private companies, including ENEA and Pininfarina Extradesign.

Amongst the most innovative industrial products that the company has produced, the most well known is the viscodynamic braking device: a universal device that slows down the rewinding of insect screens, now used throughout the world.
Or the first designer insect screen, made in collaboration with Pininfarina, or even the first pneumatic system for operating blinds with energy saving in the home automation field.

There are important patents in the temperature control sector; one of the most recent ones regards the safety and efficiency of pellet-fuelled stoves.

Within the context of basic research, one of the most interesting challenges has been the production of two probes for geological and climatic research carried out by ENEA (National Council for New Technology, Energy and the Environment) at core sampling sites in the Antarctica.

Fandis’s vocation regarding innovation and experimentation runs throughout the company, above all thanks to a flexible and adaptive organization that builds, both within and around itself, increasingly advanced and leading-edge IT structures. During 2008, large investments were made for the creation of a system that is capable of guiding and monitoring complex processes, leaving the creative part to its people, and that, just like a neural network, is able to evolve.

A new section dedicated to Engineering & Consulting projects shall soon be on-line.
